The character development and the description of Mearth was not as descriptive as I would have liked. The dialogue was written v

(I would say barely 4 stars) This was my first from this author(s). It was definitely different in terms of the male leads... I'm so used to seeing books about aliens, vampires and shape shifting felines, canines or bears, that the idea of a horse/centaur was intriguing. It definitely had the allowance for over-the-top erotica or way-too-naughty erotica, but the author kept it tame, which was attractive. The character development and the description of Mearth was not as descriptive as I would have liked. The dialogue was written very "choppy" but I'm not certain if that was due to kindle transfer or if it was intentionally written this way - a bit weird at times to figure out who was saying what. I enjoyed the heroine in this. She wasn't whiny or whimpy and she there was a sweet dynamic between her and the child centaur. Usually in menage stories (bbw) you feel equally about both males but in this one, I felt a stronger pull with Teagan than Chandler and felt Sarah should have just ended up with Teagan. Also, it felt like it ended abruptly. Overall though, it was an enjoyable read and will move to the next in this series.

Good story with reservations

I really liked the characters in this book and I enjoyed the story. I've read a lot of Kaitlyn O'Connors books and consider myself to be a fan, but this was not one of my favorites. I have a couple of issues with it. Thankfully most of the time the male characters were in their human form because the centaur shifting aspect was not a turn on for me. There was also more blatantly dubious consent than I am comfortable with, but since its fantasy I could tolerate it. One thing I did like was that the two male leads (brothers) did not fight or argue over the affections of woman, unlike many others of O'Connors books.
